The "Groton Slow Roll" is a summer community bike ride held every Wednesday at 5:30pm (weather permitting). Sponsored by the Town of Groton Recreation Committee, each week we will meet at a location around town and explore a route on the Cross Vermont Trail (CVT).

All ages and skill levels are welcome. Our slow pace helps to keep the group safe and provides riders a relaxing way to get out as a community and enjoy the beauty of the CVT together.

In addition, we are encouraging participants to adhere to COVID19 guidelines from the State of Vermont (see

Additional suggested guidelines include:

· Keep Your Distance & Slow the Spread – While on the trail, maintain social distancing of at least two bike lengths. Keep a mask and gloves on you for any kind of interaction with other riders/workers, including potentially helping another rider that needs your assistance. Please observe all CDC Guidelines.

· Go With the Flow – Carefully observe trail directions. This helps riders minimize interaction with other trail users. If you do pass another rider, announce your presence, give the other rider time to adjust, and pass with distance. Please be patient with each other.

· Ride-N-Go – Please do not congregate in the parking lot before/after rides, workdays, or at intersections/transitioning areas on trails.

· Keep it Local - These recreational opportunities are for Vermont residents, those from non-quarantine counties in New England and New York, and those who have met the quarantine requirements. Visitors from other states, and countries, must follow the state’s quarantine requirements before engaging in these activities in Vermont.
