These days, fast, reliable, affordable internet is a necessary utility for business, work, school, and healthcare. With $150-$200 million being spent over the next couple of years to try and deliver broadband internet service to every corner of Vermont, important decisions are being made and numerous programs and initiatives launched at regional, state-wide and federal levels. We hope to use this section as a way to share significant news, resources, and initiatives that may impact you and other residents of Groton.
We have 3 Wi-Fi Hotspots in Groton that offer free access to the internet at all times.
Eligible households can receive a discount of up to $50 per month toward broadband service and a one-time discount of up to $100 on a device.

NEK Community Broadband Activities
Groton has three Wi-Fi Hotspots that offers 7x24 access to the internet for free. Refer to the map for locations and use the Network/SSID provided on your device to connect (no passwords required).
Formed during the COVID-19 pandemic, we're an informal group of neighbors and community leaders coming together to better ensure that all community members get the resources and assistance they need. We work directly with the Town of Groton and collaborate with other towns & organizations across Vermont.
